Mike & Kim's Engagement Session: Northern Virginia Wedding Photography

Mike, Kim & I headed down to Old Town Alexandria on Friday night and although it was cold we had a great time during their engagement session! I will be photographing their wedding in September at Virginia Beach! This is an adorable couple who can hardly take a bad picture! Thanks for the fun evening, can't wait for your wedding!

Baby Girl "J" & Baby Girl "L": 10 days old

This past weekend I had the opportunity to visit another one of my Baby Club Families who recently gave birth to twin girls.  I had such a great time with this couple when I did their maternity photos back in November so I was excited to visit them again.  This family makes my job easy, they are so natural in front of the camera.  Although, twins are MUCH harder to do since it seems impossible to keep them both calm and asleep at the same time!  :-)  But, I love a challenge so I had a great time!

Baby Girl "S": 10 days old!

Today I took a little break from maternity leave to make sure to capture this member of my Baby Club before she got too much older! You may remember her gorgeous mama from the maternity session we had in January. We actually both shared a due date of Feb. 23rd and both had our little girls early (yea!). So, without further ado, check out this head of hair!

Since I just loved this location in their house I wanted to replicate the same picture we took during the maternity session.

I'm a lucky girl!

So, one of the perks of my job is having photographer friends to swap services with! When Harper was about 4 days old my good friends Beth Kubovcik of Sugar Rush Photography and Ingrid Kaslik came to experiment some ideas with Harper. Introducing the newest addition!

We we ended up having a pretty eventful week when my dr. informed me Wednesday afternoon that we would be having the baby Wednesday night because I had preclampsia!   Even though I already knew I had preclampsia I thought I had at least until Saturday so this was a surprise! But in the end everything went smoothly & we were glad to get to meet her a little bit early!  So, without further ado I would like to introduce:

Harper appears to look just like her daddy!  I was shocked when the dr. said we had a blondie!  Now we each have our own  mini me! :-)
Haley was sooo excited to finally meet her new sister, who she says is named Cinderella and will correct us every time call her Harper.

Maternity Leave... | Northern Virginia Photographer

I wanted to let all of my current & future clients know that I am now on maternity leave. The baby has unfortunately not arrived yet but until she does I have been placed (forced) on bed rest! Super frustrating for me, but unfortunately necessary! I am still checking email so please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or if you would like to schedule an April or May session. April is almost booked up so hurry, hurry!
Of course I can't leave without posting a new, adorable baby! This is baby girl "L", born to some good friends of ours last Saturday. You'll be seeing them again as soon as I can get back on my feet to do their family session!

Baby Girl "V": One last session

This little sweetie is already one year old!  We met a year ago at her first photo session when she was barely 2 weeks old and I have so enjoyed spending the last year together watching her grow!  That's one reason I love it when people join my Baby Club (to learn more look under Info & Rates on my website), I love seeing how much they change over the course of the year.  

So anyway, we got really lucky and had 5o degree weather on Friday at River Farm!  Practically tropical compared to the weather we've been having!  So, enjoy this last session from "V".

Changes for 2009 | Northern Virginia Photographer | Washington, D.C. Photographer

Many things are changing in 2009 and so will some of my pricing.  I want to give everyone a chance to place orders  & receive 2008 pricing until the end of the month.  As of February 1, 2009 pricing will officially be in effect for all current & future clients.  So, if there is anything you were wanting to order and haven't yet do so now!   I must receive your order by 6pm, Jan 31st.  Let me know if you have any questions!

I'd also like to remind everyone that I won't be taking any new clients from February through the middle of March.  Baby girl Rexroth is due around the middle of February so I will be taking some time off.  I will start scheduling clients again in March for late March & early April so that I can be sure to get those much anticipated Cherry Blossom pictures!  So, make note to give me a call in March so we can get you on my schedule!
