Sean & Sarah: Part II

So now you get to see the gorgeous bride! She was so sweet and fun to photograph. A self proclaimed "nerd", Sarah couldn't believe that Stevie & I were so blown away by her beauty! In one of the best men's speech they even said that Sean said he wanted to marry a "hot nerd". So funny. Anyway, check out the bride & groom and a few shots of her bridesmaids!

That is the Naval Academy Chapel behind her, tomorrow I'll post some images from inside, where they had their ceremony. BEAUTIFUL!

Boys will be boys!

Saturday I had the PLEASURE of assisting the wonderful Stevie of Stevie T. Photography at the wedding of Sean & Sarah in Annapolis, MD at the Naval Academy! It was a steamy hot day but I had some very willing and fun subjects! The groom and his groomsmen all are former Navy football players so we had the privilege of going onto the football field for their pictures. We had a blast and these guys were so hilarious to hang out with! I could not narrow down my pictures any more than this so hang with me! The best are towards the bottom! And there are more to come tomorrow of the bride, etc...

A sweet note from the bride to the boys...

Navy through and through, one of the guys even had a military dvd playing in his car. Hilarious...

TACKLE!

His boys made him do the typical high school football picture pose...

One more of the handsome groom! And such a sweet guy too...

And if you hung in there until the end you also get to see a teaser of the bride who is hot, hot, hot! You're not gonna want to miss out on what I post tomorrow!

He's all boy!

This little guy is so sweet and all boy at the same time! He loves climbing trees, running and playing with bugs. It was a trick to catch him in action but so much fun!
Enjoy!
P.S. And remember, just click on the image to make it larger!

What is beauty?

I saw this today on another photographers blog. Dove, as many of us know, is really focusing on natural, real beauty. Well, they did this ad to show you what actually goes into making up a model for an ad and then what is changed in Photoshop. Take a look, it really shows you how skewed our reality is! I am as much as fault as a photographer. It's so easy to tweak here and edit there in photoshop to make people feel better about themselves.

This next video, also done by dove, really scares me for my daughter! I've become so immune to the media around me that I don't even realize how much it has affected me. The smallest glances at pictures, commercials, etc. can really mess up your self perception and create an unrealistic expectation as to what we should be.

I hope everyone takes something away from this! Love yourself for how you are! After all, you are "fearfully and wonderfully made"! I'm saying this as much to myself as to you!

Models in the making!

I met these adorable girls this morning at Fort Ward Park, in spite of the nearly 90 degree weather at 9am, we had a great time! Such sweet girls and sooo photogenic! Ahh, I long for the days of such perfect skin! Anyway, we worked quickly and got some really great shots!
