A little family fun...

I try to keep my personal stuff on this blog to a minimum since its for my business but had to share our little family excursion to Great Falls State Park in Great Falls, VA. I went there a few years back and decided that it had been far too long! So, we took our little family out for a day of "hiking" (I use the term loosely since we had our 2 1/2 yr old).
Also, since I'm getting personal I guess it's about time that I announce that we are expecting baby #2 in February! Haley is very excited to be a big sister and we are excited to add on to our family. Thus, I will not be taking portrait clients from February through at least the middle of April and I won't be taking weddings from January - May.
So anyway, here are some shots from the day! Enjoy and as the weather gets cooler get out and enjoy the outdoors!

Haley enjoying the view.

A little self portrait of our family.

Haley and her best friend... If only Kelso felt the same way about Haley. :-)

Fun with a spunky 2 year old!

On Saturday morning I had the pleasure of hanging out with this lovely family at Ben Brenman Park! This little chick'a had my number and gave me a run for my money! I definitely got my workout! :-) But, I think I got some great shots of her amidst all the running. And I also want to wish her a happy 2nd birthday!!!

Wedding Planner Extraordinaire!

I've been meaning to blog about meeting the wonderful, talented and ORGANIZED Trisha Cranor of Working Brides wedding planning services! We had a great time chatting about the wedding industry and found we agree on a lot as far as how the wedding day should go and how it SHOULD NOT! :-) So, I hope if you're in the area and planning a wedding you'll check her out! She also has a great blog with lots of fun tips and stories. So, check her out when you get a chance! She's a great resource for DC brides!

Baby Girl "V" is 6 months old already!

I just did another member of my baby club's 6 month old pictures this week. She is more adorable every time I see her and is now on the move! This age can be tricky because they are so interested in everything but you! The grass, the plants, their feet!
Enjoy!

I love this one...

Baby Girl "G" has finally arrived!

If you follow my blog I'm sure you remember the lovely mama from my maternity shoot about a month ago. I'll refresh your memory...

Well, they were waiting to find out whether it was a girl or a boy. I guessed a boy. I was wrong! She's all girl and here she is! All almost 9 lbs of her!

Isn't she beautiful! Look at all of that hair! Most of my newborn clients tend to have a lot of hair, it's funny...

Dad's over the moon already! She's already got him wrapped around that tiny finger...

This is one lucky girl! She's got a Coach diaper bag already thanks to her awesome aunt! I'm jealous....

Fun in Old Town...

This weekend I had the opportunity to get back into shooting in Old Town Alexandria! It's practically in my backyard and my favorite place to shoot but with weddings and so many babies lately it's been quite awhile since I've been down there so it was fun to shoot there this weekend. It was even better because I had a gorgeous family to work with! And the morning and evening weather here has been beautiful lately and truly gave us the feeling that fall is not too far off! So, we enjoyed being outside in the cooler weather and sunshine. And once the kids did get a little sick of having a camera in their face we were able to liven things up with some worms! There just aren't many things more exciting than that! Ya just gotta love the simple joys of childhood!
Enjoy

Isn't she gorgeous! Watch out Dad! The boys are gonna be knocking down your door! :-)

These two were so sweet together and got along so well...

Alas, the worms...
