Elizabeth- Class of 2009: Northern Virginia High School Senior Photographer

Tuesday I also met up with Elizabeth, a high school senior from Richmond!  I really love doing high school seniors, there are so many fun things you can do with them that you can't do with babies and kids.  We had a great time trolling around Old Town Alexandria and plenty of wardrobe changes to spice things up!   She of course has made an exceptional choice in colleges and will be going to my alma mater!   Best of luck Elizabeth!

She looked gorgeous!
Probably one of my favorites!

We had really great light to work with!

I love it when the sun starts getting really low...

Of course, this process is always more fun when you bring along a friend and so we also did some fun stuff with the two of them together!
In the end, mom had one request, that we immortalize Elizabeth while texting!  She said that is how she will always remember her!  :-)
The end!  Until next time...

Cutie Little Girl "G" 2 Years Old: Northern Virginia Children Photographer

I was so excited to get to do another member of this awesome family!  You might remember little boy "N" from our session last fall.  This family has such adorable kids and little miss "J" was no exception!  She IS 2, so it was a bit of a challenge as most 2 year olds are not a fan of getting their picture taken!  But, in the end we were able to get some really adorable stuff!

I really love the feel of this one, a truly innocent moment.

Mom was pulling out all of the stops, even singing Bob the Builder to get a little giggle!

This one may be my favorite.

How adorable are those chubby little arms!  She was crossing them to show us how much she didn't like having her pictures taken.

A special day...

This past Sunday I had the honor of documenting the dedication of this little guy.  You may remember him from the fall session at the Tidal Basin.  Two is a tricky age so we did our best to get a few quick shots with the extended family who came to be there and we hoped for the best during the dedication!  He did pretty well, only a quick objection with a "No, no, no" during the prayer. :-)   It was pretty funny.   I love being a part of these events and feel so blessed when the families I have worked with ask me to be involved in their special days.

His first little Bible...
I love this one of the grandmother, cousin & great grandmother!  Classic.

Product Feature: Hinged Press Printed Book

I recently ordered a new hinged press printed book from  my lab and fell in love with it when I saw it!  I love how it lays completely flat when open, this is especially great for wedding guest books as it makes it a lot easier to sign.  I also love the thick pages, which make it seem more like an album.  As I mentioned before, a lot of couples are now using Press Printed books for their guest books and have people sign them at the reception!  It's a great way to show off your engagement pictures to those who might not have seen them.  Often clients have a hard time narrowing down what pictures they want to order, this is also a great way to incorporate all of your favorite pictures without having to put them ALL on your walls. These books also come with my Baby Club packages, featuring each clients favorite images throughout the year.  You can do a custom photo cover, leather or fabric cover and you also add a photo cover dust jacket!
If you're interested in ordering a press printed book or want to see my sample let me know!  I'm glad to answer any questions you may have.  Below are some images of the different aspects of the book.
Have a great weekend!  I'll be back next week with 2 sessions, one toddler and one high school senior!

Book with Custom Designed Photo Dust Jacket

Chocolate Brown Leather Cover Option

My favorite part, the hinged pages!  It lays perfectly flat, there is no bowing which can make it hard to look at the entire page.

Inside of the book.  This one in particular is a guestbook so one page is left blank so guests can sign it.

The "K" Family: Washington D.C. Tidal Basin | Washington D.C Family Photographer

Friday morning I met up with the "K" family to take photos with what was left of the Cherry Blossoms :-( It always makes me sad to see the Cherry Blossoms go away so quickly! But, this was a fun session and the kids were adorable, AND we found some really beautiful, bright pink trees (not sure what they're called) and took advantage of their gorgeous blossoms! And although this past week was fun I am glad my photo session marathon week is over! I also have to thank my mom for coming up to take charge of the kiddo's while I was working this week! I couldn't have done it without her! Thanks mom!
So, enjoy this FINAL cherry blossom post!
Erin

One of my favorites!

Want to get great pictures of your busy toddler?  Take them to the Jefferson and wait at the top of the steps while they climb up!  They're so focused & excited about climbing you can get a lot of great shots!

How cute is that round little face?

Look at those gorgeous eyes!

Boys, boys, boys!

This morning I had the pleasure of meeting up with 3 adorable boys down at the Tidal Basin for another Cherry Blossom session! Ages 5, 7 & 9, they kept me on my toes! It was fun to get to hang out with some older kids, especially boys, as I mostly photograph girls at this age. So, we made our way around the Tidal Basin to the Jefferson Memorial and enjoyed the warmer weather that today brought! So, enjoy meeting these cuties!

Love this one! I love watching brothers interact...
