The "L" Family: Washington, D.C. Photographer

Saturday morning I met up with the "L" family at the Monuments in D.C.  The Cherry Blossoms are gone but the trees were lush and green and still made for a beautiful backdrop!  This family has 4 kids and a great story behind how they came to be!
One kid is tricky to take pictures of let alone 4, but these kids are so well behaved and happy!  Of course they got a little squirrelly now and then but overall they got along so well as siblings and were happy to have their pictures taken!  I had a great time guys!  Thanks for a fun morning!   Here are some of my favorites!

Just the boys...

Boys being boys!

The sky was VERY overcast so it was little hard to see but the National Monument is back to the left...

And last, but not least, mom and dad!

The "S" Family: Cherry Blossoms | Washington, DC Photographer

Yesterday, amidst sporadic rain and some crazy wind, I met up with this very sweet family! You'll just fall in love with these little girls! In spite of the weather the Tidal Basin was beautiful, it was literally raining cherry blossoms! If you haven't made it down there and want to this year I'd go NOW! They're not going to be up for long!

Stuart & Meredith's E-Session: Washington, D.C. Wedding Photography

Yesterday I got to meet up with an old friend from Capitol Hill who hired me to photograph her wedding this October!  I hadn't seen Meredith in such a long time so it was so great to get to catch up and meet Stuart!  They met on Capitol Hill while working together in a Senator's office a couple of years back and now here they are!  So, since they met while working on the Hill we decided it was the perfect location for their engagement pictures!   The weather was perfect and we did our best to dodge all of the spring break tourists and also capture some of the beautiful Cherry Blossoms and just in time too as the storm today is destroying them!  :-(
So anyway, enjoy!

Finally! | Washington, DC Family Photographer

This was the session that we thought might never happen! It was originally scheduled last week and has been rescheduled 3 times since then for various reaons. So, I was so excited to finally meet with this sweet family and so excited to take part in their first official family photos! So many of us have hoped and prayed for this family and this little boy and we're so excited he is FINALLY here! You can see the love that these parents already have for him and the bond, the connect, that has already developed between them. And we were able to get some beautiful pictures with the colorful trees down at the Tidal Basin and Jefferson Memorial (my personal favorite monument!) So, enjoy!

This one just makes me want to cry! So sweet!
