Kevin & Emily: Engagement Session | Northern Virginia Wedding Photographer

This weekend I met up with Emily & Kevin at Walney Park in Chantilly, Virginia to do their engagement photos. From the moment I met these two I really felt like we clicked and this session just proved it! We had a great time walking through the park, where they actually got engaged last February! They have been together for a long time and are just so perfect for each other! I know that they are just dying for the big day to get here & I am so looking forward to their June wedding as well! Thanks you two for being such good sports and laughing at my cheesy jokes all afternoon!
Enjoy!

I, of course, made them reenact their engagement!

I just loved this pond full of lilly pads! So.... "The Notebook". All we needed was a row boat!

Kevin & Emily, we'll see you again in June!

Stuart & Meredith: October 24, 2009 | Washington, DC Wedding Photographer

Stuart and Meredith are married! I've know Meredith for at least 5 years & I was honored to be apart of her day in this way! It was a classic D.C. wedding with thoughtful details and lots of elements of fall. Beth of Sugar Rush Photography assisted me for the day and we were able to do some really fabulous pictures at the W Hotel downtown which has just finished renovation and has a really fun lobby and a great rooftop restaurant that would have had perfect view had it not been pouring down rain! The church in Georgetown was built in 1817 and had amazing architectural details and history! With so many beautiful settings it was a great day to have to stay inside! Congrats Stuart and Meredith! I wish you all the best!

The beautiful bride!

How gorgeous is this church? I am not normally a big fan of pictures inside churches but this church made for amazing photos!

One of the most flawless cakes I've ever seen!
Pure joy!
Enjoy your honeymoon!

Mike & Kim: September 19, 2009 | Northern Virginia Wedding Photographer

This past weekend I had the absolute pleasure of going photographing Mike & Kim's wedding in Virginia Beach! I am so lucky to get such great couples and these two are no exception! They are so sweet and so much fun to work with. The day was perfect, the dresses were beautiful, & the colors perfect for fall! Mike was so obviously in love with Kim and that always makes my job so easy! I'm so sad that I won't be working with these two anymore! I wish you both the best! Thank you for including me in your day!

The fabulous dress! I really loved this one!

Her veil is constructed of pieces of her moms veil...

Mom was so sweet and maybe even more excited than the bride! :-) Doesn't she look young enough to be here sister?
One of the precious flower girls. I love they way they always look at the bride.
A sweet note from her groom.
The groom's face as he first sees Kim!

"Sisters, sisters. Never were there such devoted sisters!"
If you don't know what song that is & movie it's from then you are missing a classic!

So happy!
Making it official!
Luckily we had some time to hit the beach and it was the PERFECT time of night! Right before sunset!

I had Mike & Kim jump for their engagement pictures so we of course had to do it again!

Gorgeous flowers!

Great idea!
Some really great toasts (or for Mike, a roast!)
He's taking it well though...

Thanks again! You guys are the best!
