A cold day at the beach...

Another reason we were in CA. was to see our longtime friends, the Littles! Jonathan and Julie were our very first friends in D.C.! We met through my college roommate and were they became one of our closest friends immediately! I call their first baby, Jeremy, my first baby because I got to be there just hours after he came into the world and spent so much time with him until they (sadly) moved back to CA. a 2 years ago. :-( I was also able to be there when Kaitlyn was born, so we feel like they are a big part of our family! It was so good to get to spend a few days with them and get to know the kids now that they are so grown up and meet the newest addition to the family, Anthony. Anthony is sweet, adorable and VERY laid back! I think that comes in part with being the 3rd child. Anyway, on to the pictures! It was a very cold day at the beach so we had to work quickly, but we ended up with some good stuff!








They still look as young as they do in their wedding pictures! Aren't they a gorgeous couple!

Addison is One!

You might remember Addison from her 6 month pictures. Well, she is already going to be one! They grow up so fast! And she very well might be the happiest baby on the planet, see for yourself!

For the Zells...

One of the reasons for our trip to CA. was for my husband's cousin, Jordan's, wedding. It was beautiful! Right on the beach, between 2 palm trees on a gorgeous day. I snapped a few shots for the family...

Phil & Jamie: Part II

I wanted to share some more images of Phil & Jamie's wedding. Some of the ceremony, the wedding details & the reception. Jamie picked out gorgeous, vibrant colored flowers and they were beautifully arranged by Petals Edge Floral Design. They also had THE best band, "Free Spirit" through the company Entertainment Exchange. They were such a fun band, I was dancing with my camera! I also had the pleasure of working with David Andrews of Blue Sky Films, a great videographer! All in all it was a fun wedding and I really enjoyed meeting some new people in the industry!

Back from CA. but...

So, we got in late last night from a nice trip to CA. to visit friends and for my husband's cousin's wedding. Unfortunately Haley & I came back quite sick so, it might be a few days until I'm caught up on emails, editing, etc. But, keep checking back b\c I have more pictures from Phil & Jamie's wedding as well as Phil's cousins wedding, a 1 year old & a family beach session! If you have an urgent matter in the meantime please call or email!
Until then, I hope no one else has what I have, it is MISERABLE!

Phil & Jamie: assisting Susan Stripling

As I mentioned in my last blog, last Saturday I had the opportunity to be the second shooter for a wedding Susan Stripling was doing in Washington, DC at the Mayflower Hotel. 

Phil and Jamie met in law school and are the sweetest couple! I had so much fun getting to watch them go through one of the most important days of their lives. I love getting to be a fly on the wall on people's wedding days! One of the biggest honors a photographer has is getting to be apart of some of them most intimate moments of people's lives. Phil and Jamie were so relaxed and at ease with each other, it was my pleasure to be able to work with them. 

Susan is also such a great mentor, she is so laid back and willing to teach and fun to work with. Thanks Susan! And stay tuned for more pictures from Phil & Jamie's wedding.
